Fund Raising 2015

Making ends meet is a challenge for any small angling club these days.

The LDAA is no exception and with costs increasing year on year, for example much increased charges from The Crown Estates for our salmon fishing leases on The Luther and Bervie, we are always looking at new ways to raise money and keep our fishing affordable for ordinary working anglers.

We recently ran a very successful quiz night which raised about £250. Winners for 2015 were Linda & Neil Fraser, Norman Gammie and Ian Strachan Jnr! Well done all!

Recently a group of committee member got together to “chap sticks” . Yes you read that correctly. An arrangement was made with a few local shops to supply a load of kindling, always in demand locally.

We filled 85 bags which should raise a healthy sum for club funds

Weel done a' you chappers!

Here are a few photos of the guys hard at it. Better to chap sticks than chap fish. C&R is always preferable!
