Visitor permit information:
We offer good wild brown trout, sea trout and salmon fishing to non members by day or weekly ticket. Brown trout fishing is available on both The Bervie and Luther Waters 7 days a week, salmon and sea trout fishing Monday to Saturday only. By law here is no Sunday fishing permitted for migratory fish on Sundays in Scotland. As with all spate rivers salmon and sea trout fishing is entirely dependant on good water levels. Skilled anglers will find brown trout fishing can be good even at low water levels.

Worm fishing for migratory fish is now allowed on our waters from the 1st of June till the end of the season any other form of bait fishing i.e. Prawn or Shrimp are strictly prohibited.
In common with all clubs, fishery owners and associations, it is a condition of permit sales that all anglers must read, understand and accept these rules paying special attention to the seasons and days fishing is permitted, restrictions on fishing methods and on killing fish. It is a criminal offence to fish for salmon or sea trout in Scotland without written permission.
The Salmon and Sea Trout season on the Luther Water runs from 16th February to 31st October inclusive. The Salmon and Sea Trout season on the Bervie Water runs from 25th February to 31st October inclusive.The Brown Trout season on both waters runs from 15th March to 6th October inclusive.
Between 16th February and 31st May inclusive all salmon caught must be returned unharmed to the water furthermore anglers may only use single or double hooks and these must be barbless.
A single permit covers both of our waters, so you can fish the Bervie and The Luther on the same permit on the same day if you choose!

Day and weekly visitor permits can now be purchased online here during the season. Payment is by PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account, you can use your credit or debit card.
It's simple- just chose the permit type you want, click the box to select the date then click the Add To Cart button. The shopping cart will be displayed – double check the details are correct then pay.
Your PayPal receipt (sent to you by email from PayPal) is your permit and it must be carried at all times when fishing.
Please be very careful when selecting the date(s) you want to fish. These cannot be changed afterwards, the permit is not transferable to other persons or dates and no refunds will be given under any circumstances.
By law there is no Sunday fishing for salmon or sea trout in Scotland. If you buy a 6 day Salmon & Sea Trout weekly permit Sundays are not included. For example if you buy a permit on Friday it is valid for Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
